I own a 9512 with a serial No 11117 and also signed by Suzuki. This guitar was bought new by my dad and would have been sometime in the late 60's. I was just in the process of restringing it and thought I'd check the model out. It has a nice finish and decent tone.

I have 11129. Signed. Lovely low action. Best guitar I have, and I have a few.

Hi Tomas. I own one of these too. The serial number on mine is 00627. The label is different to yours - simpler design, no signature. Not sure how the numbers work, but if Dave Key's Dad's guitar - ser: 11117 - is late 60s, might mine be much earlier?? Not desperate to know, but curious. Best acoustic I've ever had. Will never sell. Marcus.

the first ones were hand built by suzuki and the label signed to signify this I believe. It follows therefore that only a limited amount of hand built guitars were made.

5-digit usually the first number is significant, so these were probably 1979 or 1971 (models listed in above comments)

I own a 9512, serial 11140 signed.
The guitar really came alive when I used heavier strings. What strings are others using.... very nice build quality on these guitars I have owned mine for about 20 years after spotting it in a second hand store.

was given one today with a serial number of 10503 the label is a circle & not signed, anyone know how old this guitar is ? I was also really surprised at how good it sounded for having bad strings on it & being left in a kids wardrobe. I think I've stumbled onto a gem here
